{Prieto Family, Baby #2 and it’s a girl}

Defining moments in life are important. And as I take more pictures, the more I appreciate the privilege to be a part of people’s defining moments. Maternity pictures are quickly becoming my favorite! Pregnant women are beautiful and to understand a little person is inside that beautiful round belly is mind-blowing. It is truly a miracle!
On a Friday afternoon, after both of us working, Jamie and I set out with her husband, Lenny and their precious son, Devin to take family/maternity pictures. The weather had been overcast for the morning. But we were not going to let that stop us. I picked two parks with playgrounds for Devin!! But I also brought sidewalk chalk and tennis balls for Devin too. They proved to be very helpful. I knew we needed to get the shots with Devin in first and quickly. And I must say, Minnehaha Park was perfect! We took some family shots and then corralled Devin inside one of the small playgrounds. And there was artificial turf…how perfect…in the middle of winter, nice green grass!! Devin was such a good boy while Lenny and Jamie posed for their pictures. And let me tell you, these two are very photogenic. I loved taking their pictures. Their happiness and love shined through in every shot. A special couple!
On to park #2! Now it was time to focus on Momma, Jamie. Her smile is precious and perfect! My favorite memory of our time together was her changing clothes at the park behind the blanket; completely out of Jamie’s comfort zone but she was an amazing trooper!  We wanted to capture great pictures of her beautiful belly with their baby girl! Their baby girl will be here very soon! A very nice way to complete their sweet family. Again, a privilege to share in this moment for this family. Many thanks to the Prieto family for inviting me to share in these memories.

  1. We are so thankful to Debbie for an incredible experience. I was so nervous how my 2 1/2 year old son would do, but Debbie was so flexible and so kind. She thought of everything!! You can tell that this is her passion!
